My name is Abby Nelson. I am a junior at Brigham Young University – Idaho studying Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and a passion for event planning. I recently completed a four-month internship with The Washington, DC Office of Public and International Affairs for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This experience increased my awareness for diplomatic relations and event planning and preparation. I am now working at applying what I learned on my internship to my studies as I work to complete my bachelor’s degree by April 2017.

I grew up in small-town, Idaho with my three older sisters and two younger brothers. Being from a large family, I had to learn what I stood for. Growing up, I enjoyed riding horses and competing in 4-H. I was crowned the Cassia County Fair and Rodeo Queen in 2012, after winning horsemanship and speech categories. I was heavily involved in Ballet where I achieved 10 years of perfect attendance.

I enjoy riding horses, traveling, blogging about my travels, and making new friends.

One day, I dream of opening my own event center, and making people’s perfect day one to remember.
