About Me

Welcome to my blog! My name is Abby Nelson. I am a senior at Brigham Young University – Idaho studying Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations and a passion for event planning and client management. I recently completed a four-month internship with The Office of Public and International Affairs for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Washington, DC. This experience increased my awareness for diplomatic and international relations, and event planning. I am planning to graduate  April 2017.

I grew up in small-town, Idaho with my three older sisters and two younger brothers. Our family however has grown, and my three older sisters are all married, with the cutest boys. This makes me an aunt of 3 boys and a baby on the way.

Being from a large family, I had to learn what I stood for. Growing up, I enjoyed riding horses and competing in 4-H. I was crowned the Cassia County Fair and Rodeo Queen in 2012, after winning horsemanship and speech categories. I was heavily involved in Ballet where I achieved 10 years of perfect attendance.

When I am not busy with classes,  I enjoy riding horses, traveling, blogging about my travels, and making new friends. I also love to dance, laugh, sing in the shower, eat chocolate (and lots of good food!),  COOK, craft, watch Grey’s Anatomy, Gilmore Girls, The Chew, and any chick flick. I love Christmas and birthdays.

One day, I dream of opening my own event center, and making people’s perfect day one to remember.
