REXBURG – Rexburg Police arrested three men and cited one woman for “possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia” on Saturday, May 9.
A police witnessed Ronald Ray Lincoln (50), with his son, Aaron Ray Lincoln (25) of Bailey, Colo., and his daughter, Arielle Theresa Linderman (23) of Maple Valley, Wash., driving east on Main Street pulling a U-Haul trailer. They were sighted for speeding.
As the officer approached the car, he or she could smell fresh marijuana coming from the car. The driver admitted to illegal drug possession. A search of the vehicle revealed the marijuana along with other drug paraphernalia.
Aaron Lincoln and his son were arrested and taken the Madison County Jail. Linderman was cited and released.
Edmond Vincent (32) of Arlington, Mass., would also be taken to jail for “possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia,” along with “open container of alcohol”. Vincent was speeding 13 miles over the posted speed limit when police pulled him over.
Vincent was found in possession of drugs and was taken to the Madison County Jail.
After two cases involving drug possession, Rexburg police Capt. Randy Lewis, expresses why the police patrol for drug trafficking so regularly, “Highway 20 has long been a corridor for drug trafficking. That’s why we patrol it so much,” Lewis said.
No other information was given about those who were taken into custody.
