The Pioneer Women has become a household name for many homes. Ree Drummond quickly turned from Ree, a mother and blogger, to The Pioneer Women, when she became known for her show on the Food Network, and partnering with by Land o’ Lakes, and Blogher.
I feel like as soon as her show came on, my mother wouldn’t miss an episode. I soon watched her, and so do all of my sisters. She makes good food in a practical hometown cooking. She uses basic ingredients, to make a exquisite meals for her own family. Her family has also been a huge part of her show.
Ree Drummond began blogging about her life only in 2006, about what she liked to cook, life on her ranch, and her family. Her show reflects this. She has kept her show as close to the original format as possible. Each episode featured a day on the ranch, cooking with her children, cooking with her family, or taking dinner to a close friend.
This sets her apart. It is great public relations, and helps her have a great reputation. She continues to keep her trusted reputation, as she blogs, and has become a face on social media.
She recently launched a new line of kitchenware, and at the same time strategically updated her blog, and did a lot of rebranding. However with all the new updates she continues to do what a blog does best, and keep people, in the loop and make readers feel as if they have been part of the new changes. She would post little sneak-peaks, or post a couple of prints on her blog, and ask for opinions, or create a poll.
This is such a great move, to help people stay excited and not resist change. Her blog was something that was huge part of her name. The way she went about this change was great. She also did sneak peaks of her kitchenware line. I have even seen her line in Walmart. The packaging has her picture and designs are close to her blog and food network. Also a little thing that was great was all she did on social media. She posted one post, after going to store and taking pictures off of her phone. This is great public relations. I help makes her seem very relatable, especially to her audience, of mothers.
She also uses great public relations, as she conducts weekly and sometimes, bi-weekly giveaways on her blog. They usually last a day, and then there is a little congratulates to the winner the next day.
She has used the opportunity that she has had to create a relatable image for herself. She has done a great job of using the media and her blog to create a successful career for herself, all while keeping a great reputation.
